To be so upset at something that just HAS to happen

My Grandad died in December and I am heartbroken. I really miss him. Earlier my Mum said my uncle is taking all the stuff from his house ready to put the house on the market. Of course they have to sell the house and I have known this from day one but im utterly devastated and am crying as I type knowing this is the last bit of my Grandad gone for good when the house is sold

So sorry poisson Sad I know exactly how you feel. When we cleared my gran's flat out I remember almost hating my older cousins because they were so matter-of-fact about it. But I was an emotional teenager at the time. I remember a little grey china kitten that she always had on her mantelpiece got a chipped ear and I cried and cried over that.

Of course YANBU to be feeling upset, but I am sure I don't need to advise you to try and keep it under wraps in front of your mum and uncle: it must be far worse for them.

And it's only the last bit of your grandad's STUFF that is gone for good. Your grandad will clearly live on as long as you do, in your memories.

Chocolate, wine, hugs.
