To ask for a Nobdies Section

Sorry but Nobdies really isn't for me - I don't get it at all. I am a nobody and I still have trouble understanding the threads. No offence meant but I would like to see a section rather than the posts in chat so I can hide it.

Another Nob-bashing thread? Really? Le sigh.

FWIW, I'm not one of the original nobs, I gatecrashed a thread and all I got was a really warm welcome and a Brew. Honestly. How rude!!

You could always just ignore the threads you don't like OP. It's not that hard to do.

Classy, Taff. wash your hands, please.

HeadHunterHobs · 04/03/2012 19:15

Here, this'll do for now.

QuaaludesAndRedWine · 04/03/2012 19:40

Well, the hide button things gets on my nerves a bit. If you 'hide' a thread half way down the page, the whole thing refreshes and you lose where you were up to. I am a multi-tabber and like to settle in and go through the whole page, read it all then start again (I have under another name requested the hide tick box thing). I'm not easy to please, am I? Smile.

It's not that I have anything against some threads, just the titles really, and ones with swear words in, just in case dd sees!

Hello

Just popping head in to say: I will put this to the Topic Consideration Committee, but I think the answer is likely to be 'no'. We have a lot of 'group' threads on Mumsnet, and giving each of them their own topic is probably impractical.

But thanks for the suggestion, as ever.

Topic Consideration Committee

Wasn't Shiney and her threads made to move to "off the beaten track" because people kept complaining about them being in actives?

Do what I do OP and don't click, i don't speak the language, I don't know what a quiche is, I do know that I have no issues with people having a laugh.

Grin

Agree about the refreshing thing though.

oldsilver · 04/03/2012 20:13

Shame about lack of new Topic, was looking forward to lots of hazelnuts [ill, please excuse me] Smile

Olds

We really don't speak a different langauge you know.

Nope!

Hobs · 04/03/2012 20:39

Oh wait. Apprently, we do.

I meant language

FilterCoffee · 06/03/2012 12:42

"We have a lot of 'group' threads on Mumsnet, and giving each of them their own topic is probably impractical."

Hi Rowan, couldn't there just be a topic called "Quiches" or "Friendship Groups" or somesuch? Then all the groups could start their threads in there :)

Hobs · 06/03/2012 14:10

But wouldn't that exclude others from joining in Filter? The Nobdies are a very inclusive group and putting us in quiches would prevent future Nobdies from finding us!

Also, there's only ever one Nobdie thread at a time, and they're not that hard to ignore. Last I checked there were at least 2 GF threads and a heap of benfit bashing ones - neither of which I'm interested it, but I don't expect them to be moved out of my way to make it easier for me to ignore them.
