A thread about a thread.

I started a thread, and no one replied.
I started another thread, and only one person replied.

I don't have many RL mum friends, I have no family close by.

I have NO clue what I'm doing as a mum.

I'm in tears coz no one responds to my threads, and I feel like shit.

AIBU to just give up on beng a mum and being a nice person and just sit in the corner and not worry about anything?

Lots of people have replied to your other thread now! So I thought I'd comment on what you said upthread about co-sleeping.... our 16mo DS4 is teething badly ATM, and we were bringing him into our bed, which is lovely and snuggly in a way but we were getting kicked to the very edges of the bed...... bought a blow-up, all in one toddler sleeping bag/mattress thing in argos and he's quite happy to settle on that if he's having a bad night, and we get to sleep too!
Also handy thing for when we have visitors as there's a pull out guest bed in his room and he comes in our room those weekends. About £25, comes with a wee pump but you can just blow it up in about a min quite easily and will last for years.

The artwork on the fridge is usually done by the mums if that helps...

And I successfully killed the other thread just as I promised Grin

Hullo carpe
Oh the joys of motherhood eh?
Just when you think you've got an issue sussed, up comes something else...
This will pass, I promise..
For what it's worth most mothers lie. And theres no such thing as a perfect mum..
Lower your expectations of what motherhood brings. The good bits are wonderful, the bad bits hell on earth cos you can't just leave like you can a job.
Come on mumsnet let's start being honest about what it's like being a mum, especially a stay at home, and how we feel about it.
Ps if desperate stick dc in pushchair and walk. Exercise will make you feel physically tired rather than mentally exhausted, and produce happy chemicals in body...
Good luck and don't give yourself such a hard time. X

I have just replied on your other thread and then saw this one. My DDs are 2.5 & 16mo. All of my friends had children much earlier than me (some are now teenagers Shock) and I can see that it does get easier. Well, there's new issues to contend with but the relentlessness of small children passes.

And I second getting out and about no matter what the weather is like. Staying indoors sends me potty and makes it harder to cope with the demands and whinging.
