Sorry it's the Daily Mail. I was going to post the video but the photos are quite horrifying.

Jesus. That is horrible. I'm surprised she hasn't been lynched by parents but I suppose some people are stupid and believe any idiotic 'guru'.

Salmotrutta · 26/02/2012 22:12

TryHarder - this isn't massage. Not even vigorous massage such as you describe.
This is swinging a baby around by it's heels.

Unbelievably cruel.

I saw this in Chat today and it actually put a lump in my throat - and I'm not easily "moved" as it were.

Hideous.

Heyyyho · 26/02/2012 22:15

There was a thread where an aunt got hold of the OPs baby and did this without consent. The op baby turned very insecure and cried constantly and wouldn't settle. She had to take her baby to the GP to get looked at and it caused her and her dh so much stress.

That thread always sticks in my mind :( It's just awful what we do to people who are small and non verbal.

RitaMorgan · 26/02/2012 22:26

The aunt in that thread just grabbed the baby's ankle and swung her once, imagine how much more upsetting it is to be swung round and round repeatedly.

Tryharder · 26/02/2012 22:41

Oh right. Yes. Swinging around by the ankles isn't done in The Gambia or at least not to my knowledge. But babies are held up by their hands and sometimes held upside down - albeit briefly - and are sort of jiggled very, very robustly and sort of thrown but you don't actually throw - that doesn't make sense but i can't really describe it.

I didn't see that thread about the poster's Aunt. Sad

TheSinglePringle · 26/02/2012 22:42

I wouldn't think this would be allowed but call it yoga and people do it.

theincredibequeenofwands · 26/02/2012 22:44

I guess she prioves that evil does indeed exsist.

Baffles me my why the police haven't charged her for assault.

MamaMaiasaura · 26/02/2012 22:49

Wtf! I wish I'd not clicked Sad totally cruel. Those poor babies.

cees · 26/02/2012 22:50

That looks like torture, why the hell would anyone let her do this to there babies, it's abuse in my book and bloody disgusting.

Debs75 · 26/02/2012 22:58

I saw this a few years ago now and it was sickening then and people wanted her questiopned about child safety. I can't believe she is still 'practising'

Salmotrutta · 26/02/2012 23:08

The thread in chat was linked to a Sun article I think?

And there was a comment from a midwife who said there was a real risk of shaken baby syndrome Sad.

TheOnlyTrollOnTheForum · 27/02/2012 10:09

Yes I read that too, shaken baby syndrome, a risk of the baby being dropped, a risk of dislocation etc :(

IUseTooMuchKitchenRoll · 27/02/2012 10:33

Why why WHY would anyone do that to their baby? It's barbaric!

Shutupanddrive · 27/02/2012 10:58

That is shocking! That poor baby in the pictures Sad I couldn't bring myself to watch the video

xxxxmrsxxxx · 27/02/2012 22:33

It doesn't even look like a real baby!!!
