And paying for your coffee etc that people who are just coming in shouldn't hot the only available tables while their DH etc go and collect their order.
FFS they can see it's busy. They can see people at the que making their order AIBU to suggest they maybe have some thought for others?

wow. Well, nowadays, if I get to be in a cafe at all, I'm on my own, and this behaviour doesn't bother me. It did stress me out at one point in my life (standing in the queue, wondering if those last tables would be gone by the time I was through it) but I've yet to be left without a seat for very long.

It doesn't bother me if people go sit at a table while others order. It would never have occurred to me that this was rude, had it not been for Mumsnet.
