I've been caught short before on a train as it happens - well, actuallly I'd exhausted my tissue supply mopping up jam/some other muck off DS' face. I'd have been so grateful if someone had offered me a tissue. They didn't though and I sat sniffing like a dog.

How did the sniffer react towards our kindly offer? Just out of interest?
