To want to rub dog owners noses in it!

There seems to be a growing trend among dog owners of not removing their dogs shit from places where we take the children for a walk. And for some who do, to tie the resulting bag on a tree.

It's got so bad in a right of way near us at the moment that we have had to stop taking the children. It seems that a growing 'minority' of dog walkers think it's ok to let their dogs shit near or on the path and just leave it especially if it's private / community type land. On a recent walk out with 4 children and three adults, only one adult managed to miss stepping in any.

If you're going to own a dog & want to walk it carry a bag and clean up after it or before long somebody is going to rub your nose in it. :-(

I stood on dog poo yesterday tbh its the first time in years as its usually good round here we dont have a dog anymore but the dog walking places are usually clean , the poo was on a little bit of grass beside the car park is stepped out dds car and right into it , YUCK ,

There was a couple near where we live that had two dogs, and they left Poo everywhere. Outside the schools, the nursery and the shops. All day these dogs were walking around.

Anyhow, I haven't seen the dogs out for a bit, but I've seen their owners. I can only presume they got rid of them or had them taken off them for some reason.

As a result the dog Poo problem round our end has reduced by at least 70%. Just goes to show the devastation just a couple of owners cause; it's not all of us that do it!

YADNBU it's grim grim grim.

It occurred to me the other day that though there seems to be a lot of sh*t, it could be by as little as 1-2 people responsible for it all - 2 walks a day is a lot of poo from one dog iyswim.

I always pick up my dog poo, but am too scared round here if I see people leaving it to say anything to them. Should I call them out? Perhaps I will pick up one unknown dog poo a day as a good deed.

YANBU!!!!!
just lately there has been alot of poo in the kids school playground! dogs arent even meant to be in the playground, yet daily more and more dogs are being brought to school. im sick to the back teeth of having to clean shoes.
we have also had the misfortune of having a dog poo right outside our gate, and the worst of it is that dp watched the wifie letting her dog do it but didnt realise what it was up to til he trod in it later on! we own a dog and it really astounds me the number of people who dont bother to pick up, it still gives me the dry boak doing it but i do it-its my duty as a responsible dog owner surely?!

cervix - I agree with you about the plastic rubbish. i forgot a poo bag the other day when I took the dog out. But i didn't have to worry as there were plenty of empty supermarket carrier bags lying around that I could use Hmm Not to mention plastic bottles, take-away boxes, cans etc etc.

I hate dog shit as much as the next woman but suspect there are a lot more litter droppers than there are stupid dog owners. Both irritate me.

Also may I just say 'Fag ends ARE litter! Don't chuck them on the fucking floor! Thankyou'

allthatglittersisnotgold · 21/02/2012 17:10

OrmIrian-totally agree.

We have lovely walks near us and both us and my parents have dogs, but it is spoilt by other dog owners not picking up their dogs poops. I am sick of washing shit off my boots and even the dogs feet....and whats with the dog poop in a bag hanging on a tree thing all about, carry it back to the bin you lazy b**tards!!!
