to pretend not to notice that DD2 (3) has found a packet of polos.

She is now sitting happily on the sofa watching Dora and munching on her ill gotten polos. We're all a bit poorly and I just can't be doing with the numerous requests for games, colouring, card making etc. Would it be bad to pretend not to have noticed so I can just stay on mumsnet and have some peace and quiet?

Don't let her have too many-she will get the squits. Sad

Sassyfrassy · 19/02/2012 09:29

She's really constipated though, might be a good thing!

Isn't it just the sugar free ones that act as a laxative?!

Sparklingbrook · 19/02/2012 09:30

Oh go for it then. Grin Lovely breath too.

Threeprinces · 19/02/2012 09:31

YANBU, I'd do the same.

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 19/02/2012 09:34

Polos - what Polos??

Grin

...casually abandon a packet of crisps/chocolate buttons too if you buys you another 5 minutes peace.

Sassyfrassy · 19/02/2012 09:37

Ah, I think there might be chocolate buttons in the kitchen!

On further thought and observation, I think she is getting excellent fine motor skills practice when trying to open the packet. I'm obviously providing good educational opportunities for her =)

Be careful though, my sister choked on a polo when she was 4. It wasn't serious in the end but it was touch and go for a few minutes.

I pretended not to notice ds found an open packet of after eights before, it kept him quiet for a while but I'm now trying to find all the chocolately handprints he's left everywhere Hmm
