....Jet wash a 15 year old, well is it?
Because DS1 has not had a shower all week and short of getting a gas mask I am at a loss, I have told him if he is not in the shower in the very near future then it is the garden and the jet wash for him

DS 12 yo doesn't smell yet (but I know the day will come)

A night time bath is easier than a shower, at least I know he's in it.

Yet my 12 year old ds showers daily of his own free will.....

I once resorted to running a bath and enlisting the help of large muscular DH to throw no2 son in it fully clothed, then told him if he didn't emerge clean to my satisfaction I was coming in to wash him like a baby. I waved a lovely new pink flannel at him and it worked thankfully as I don't know what we'd have done next
After that he was never quite so bad again, it just took drastic action to get through to him. Once he got a bit older he grew out of it and now often spends over an hour preening and primping bathing.

Not wishing to shock anyone but DS1 not only had a shower Saturday he had one yesterday as well without being poked with a cattle prod ask

Mine was the same - but................

He has discovered the gym.

He plays Rugby & Football - but could never get him in the shower afterwards (he's err very well developed so a bit embarrassed).

However - he's recently joined a gym that has a sauna, so he's now at the gym 3/4 times a week, showers before the sauna and again afterwards!

It's bloody ACE!

My son too is a Soap Dodger as we call it. I am hoping when he discovers girls he may be a bit more keen!
