AIBU to think it was a bit rude to say "how much did your handbag cost?"

Woman on bus just leans over and said it randomly, not even "I like your bag, where did you buy it?", just how much did it cost

I didn't answer her so she tapped my bag and said it again so I asked her why she wanted to know and she said "just wondering"

What the actual fuck was that about?

Right on sister!

[I hate baking too]

I love a good handbag and a DKNY pressie is as good as it gets for me too, but weird that she shouted that question at you.
I really enjoy baking and eating cakes

You could have told her it was stolen. Might have shut her up.

I was once on a bus with a Chloe bag and three teenage girls started bellowing at me that it was fake because it was different to the one one of them was carrying (hers was fake). I was really scared they would steal it so I agreed and said it was a gift and not my fault :)

YANBU I would have been a bit scared then as well

"ONE HUNDRED thousand pounds, sweet cheeks" ;)

Lueji · 14/02/2012 17:20

For all you know, she could be considering steeling your handbag.

Perhaps she is bringing a load back from Turkey and is wondering what she can get away with charging for them.

So was your handbag full of homebaked goodies or what?
