I don't mean the odd sniff, I mean blatant refusal to use a tissue! I know lots of people are ill, I've got a filthy cold myself at the moment. I've just spent about an hour sat beside someone at work who sniffed back her snot every 20 seconds or so. AIBU to think this is utterly disgusting? I was taught to blow my nose when I was about 5 years old - it's hardly my favourite thing to do and the skin on my nose is quite red-raw from having to do it so much but it has to be done people!

And BTW, I actually gave the sniffer a box of tissues with a big sympathetic smile and a 'poor you, sounds like you're suffering, there's tissues here'. It didn't work And it happens ALL. THE. TIME. on the bus, there's no escape Smile

I hate sniffing far more than the sound of nose blowing
