Schoo run, run in with a mum

I am feeling a bit guilty now but at the time I was raging Aibu?

School run, snow on rd etc. At zebra crossing with lights with 2dcs and another mum also 2 dcs. One of which is only 2yo.
We had pressed lights and the beeper was going for us to cross A car ignored the lights, jumping them and then turned into the school. Fuming I speed up on foot and knock on drivers window as she was letting her dc out of car

I said "do you realise you just jumped the lights?" in a cross but not over aggressive tone. She was apologetic so I reply" please can u be more careful?" and then as she apologised again said thanks and grumbled off.

I'm not normally confrontAtional but it was icy and right next to school. Bad enough a normal driver but she was a mum if school too.

Was I unreasonable to speak to her. It's a big school and I did not recognise her but feel guilty for lamping off at another mum

YANBU - taking my ds to school this morning and as usual the parents are adamant they need to do three point turns in the road right outside school as it's their right to face the right way rather than around the tiny block.

Just out of curiousity, what does the W stand for in YWNBU? All I keep coming up with is You are damn well not being unreasonable, which is obviously missing a couple of letters.

A year 6 girl at my DCs school was hit by a coach which ran a red light last year. thankfully she survived!

AndiMac I would guess it means you were not being unreasonable. But I think your version is better!

YANBU! just hope you do not cme across a roughian who pushes his/her fist in your face, if it happens again. I understand why you did it and would have taken the same action. You just never know these days and looks are deceptive, i'm afraid.
