Trying to arrange a passport for my DD. she is 17 months, and can sit up fine, but in the photo booth in the post office this morning, I had to turn the little swivel seat to the highest setting, and it still wasn't high enough. They didn't have anything to sit on top of the seat, so as the photo booth already started taking the photos, and you only get 3 shots, I just crouched down and held DD high enough to get her photo taken.

She is looking directly at the camera, but you can see my hands holding her. Cant see my face though, just hands.

Is there rules for this, I've had a nosy online and can't see anything. Has anyone else done this and had the application approved? I just don't know how else you would do it?

Thanks

I just had to get them done for all 4 of mine - booth would have cost £20. I took a headshot of each of them myself (nothing fancy, all 4 done in 2 mins) against a magnolia wall and took my card to the instant print machine in Asda. There is a setting on them for passport photos and the photo technician helped me adjust the photos slightly for a better fit and to brighten them up. Each sheet of 6 cost £0.64p and they cut them out. You wouldn't know that they weren't from the booth. When I took the applications to the post office, I asked the chap there to have a quick look at the photos as I taken them myself and did he think they'd be ok. He used the template they have to check and said that yes they'd be fine. No money changed hands for this service. Although I agree that a photo with your hands showing will not be considered acceptable, he did say that they are more lenient with photos of kids under 6.
