If you have an enormous kitchen with plenty of space for lots of clutter you didn't really need, then go for it. If your kitchen is already full of gadgets you never use, then forget it :o

I have the pizza stone and I also have an unbranded pizza stone that cost 1/3 of PC - no surprise the cheaper pizza stone is better - crisper base. Italian chefs told me a terracotta tile would work fine too - couple of quid?

Have the onion chopper - sold it to some mug on ebay. Refuse to go anymore...despite being a kitchen gadget freak - their gadgets are too expensive and often a bit crap.

I love PC! The evenings are excellent with lots of yummy food and the products are great, I am a stoneware convert! I haven't gone mad and usually decide what sort of thing I need before I go.

i just go for the food. the waffle berry pudding they sometimes do as a demo is lovely Grin

Pampered Chef parties make me despair of mankind.

McHappyPants2012 · 09/02/2012 23:45

alittle of topic, but my mum almost fainted when I spent £30 on 1 frying pan...... However 6 years on and it's still going strong the only thing that sticks is pancake batter.

I think I will have to eBay these items

You can buy most of it for half the price in Peter Jones - do not touch the salad tongs with a barge pole - they are hopeless. I have a nice new chopping board and some white dishes in a silver holder thing in which "Roses" look quite pretty and they were useful at Christmas because you could fill the pots from the tin and make the tin last longer stop the dc from being total pigs

Nice way of helping out a friend trying to make some money but you coudl also slip friend £25 and buy similar quality stuff and still spend less Hmm

ClaretCake · 10/02/2012 00:21

Some of the PC stuff is OK. Tis a bit on the pricey side though. If you are being roped into going to a 'party' or want to support a friend who's hosting one... have a look at the PC website before you go, choose something within your budget, take the right amount in cash (leave your cards and chequebook at homeif you can!) and then have fun knowing you won't blow a fortune on stuff you know you don't need. Simples! Grin

I love my chopper! (Can't believe I just typed that.) It's the only way I can get my DC to eat mushrooms. Chopped up really finely in seconds and hidden in with the mince. I can hide all sorts of veg in cottage pie or spag bol.

SuzysZoo · 10/02/2012 22:09

Right - I may well go and buy the garlic press then. I wanted one of those anyway. Maybe the stoneware too, depending on how much I drink!
Thanks everyone!

Would love to love my PC pizza stone, but I find it simply hopeless. Daren't go to a PC party for fear I'd announce this to the whole gathering and then feel obliged to leave immediately.

However, were you to go I would suggest a natty little thing for about £4.00 which releases the air lock on jars you can't open and stores nicely on the fridge, and the wooden dobber that goes with the mini muffin tin - but you can buy a cheaper, better quality muffin tin at Lakeland, so just stick with the dobber at the party.

A friend of mine had a PC party a few years ago now. The only thing I liked enough to buy (and the pc lady did make you feel obliged to buy) was the trifle bowl and stand thingy.

I have used it but it is not £35 worth!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/02/2012 00:46

OhTheConfusion, look on my profile for a pic of my TEN EGG Tiramisu, presented in the PC trifle bowl
