WBHP are far better parents than UDWP parents

Surely parents who Wash By Hand are setting a much better example to their children than those parents who Use Dish Washers?

I Wash By Hand and it is far more stimulating for me and my DS than Using a Dish Washer. It's totally my choice and I know everyone who does it differently is a actually evil and hell bent on destroying society.

Evidence clearly shows that childrens whose parents Use Dish Washers are likely to become looters who exist on Greggs sausage rolls.

I completly judge the quality of someones relationsjip with thier child and how much they actually love them by virtue of this one arbitary factor alone

I don't even know why people have plates if all they are going to do is shove them in a Dish Washer

I think yabu.

Clearly a person who washes up by hand is more likely to feed their child junk food as it is saving on the washing. Whilst a Dishwasher uses the same cycle/energy no matter how full it is, so parent is more likely to cook a god wholesome meal from scratch without fear of hours at the sink.

YABU! The dishwasher is the new plate cupboard, so it means you can store more cans of cider and huggies in the kitchen units, so you don't have to run out to the shops while PFB is asleep in their manger cot.

I'm shocked and insulted that you didn't realise that :o

ChaosTrulyReigns · 08/02/2012 14:01

Oh catgirl.

This is going to turn into such a Miele. Fairy nough you have your opinions, but please let's just Finish with the slating of others' parenting choices and let's pull together and support ecover.

whattodoo · 08/02/2012 14:01

I have a dishwasher, but it's not yet installed.
TBH, washing up by hand after dinner sometimes forms part of the mating ritual between myself and OH, so generally speaking i'm happy to WUBHWFMOH.

Whatmeworry · 08/02/2012 14:01

Chaos. Punning like that is so Neff.

tabulahrasa · 08/02/2012 14:02

'Evidence clearly shows that childrens whose parents Use Dish Washers are likely to become looters who exist on Greggs sausage rolls.'

I feel your evidence is flawed, filling a dishwasher is less labour intensive than washing by hand, therefore negating the need for sausage rolls eaten out of a bag because the dishes will be clean...

Proudnscary · 08/02/2012 14:02

YABU

Those of us IN FULL TIME WORK are enormously rich and far above either method you advocate. We hire the assistance of dish washers, who wash my hand.

So I am UDWBNADIMATWBH person.

catgirl1976 · 08/02/2012 14:03

Oh no valar - my DS only eats hand rolled sushi and organic woven lentils. He makes his own wasabi paste even though he is only 10 weeks old.

Doesn't your DC?

Can you please post links to this 'research' which I will then not read and dismiss as nonsense because it is not from an RG university. Thank you.

Well me and little T'aniiquaa and baby Hariboo-boo love ours! So there! It's not Chavvy - it's a perfectly good piece of kitchen equipment.

coppertop · 08/02/2012 14:08

I do all my washing up from scratch and only use organic water.

ValarMorghulis · 08/02/2012 14:08

I am a superior parent Op. My dishwasher allows me more time to assist my Dc in their extra curricular activities. That half an hour wasted on washing by hand could be used teaching your DC advanced Japanese and astrophysics, like i do with my two.
I feel that in the current climate these are essential life skills for when they reach the job market and to be so negligent as to waste your time with hands in a sink is tantamount to abuse.
you should be ashamed

Thetokengirl · 08/02/2012 14:08

I'm a part-time UDWP, so where do I stand?Grin

catgirl1976 · 08/02/2012 14:11

No, If you do it differently you don't love your children and are damaging them.

It's become perfectly clear to me now that that's how parenting works.

Before MN I used to think people who did things differently to me were just making alternative choices, but thankfully I now know the truth.

Surely one week only needs four plates and a chicken to feed a family.
