Keep seeing recipies for red velvet valentines cakes & wondering who exactly these are for? The recipes are on sites mostly visited by women. Do we really think that our men want a cake on V Day? Really?

Dp is a chef, and I'd quite like a heart shaped cake, linky?

I make the cakes in our house. DH is great at other stuff, but cakes are my department.

Anyway, last year he bought me a heart shaped silicone cake tin from Sainsbury's with large hints about valentines day.

So YABU, my DH most definitely does want a heart shaped cake on valentines day!

I want a red velvet cake right now and I don't care what shape it is. Red velvet is my favourite kind.

I know a few people who would love a lenin cake. The eggshell idea is genius.

I think heart shaped valentine's cake is for children, who no doubt love it with drinks in cocktail glasses. I may sort out a valentine's day party for DD next year.

I've been made increasingly aware of DH's liking for cake since I went freelance. If I admit to having a slow day I get texts saying "you could always bake a cake..." and in fact when I was working FT and would occasionally bake cakes to take into the office he would sulk. He doesn't believe in Valentine's Day though, so not sure about heart shaped...

I've got a 'naughty cake' book that I picked up in a charity shop. DH likes any kind of cake, but I think a heart-shaped one would be easier to explain to the children than the edible boobies or the three-in-a-bed variety!

yep reckon my husband would love a heart-shaped cake. Cake. cakecakecake. My love of baking is the main reason he married me, I reckon.

Actually I think I'll be doing heart-shaped cookies. My son's birthday is soon after so I'll be doing cake then.
