to have spent most of the day saying BOO!

...over and over again, with a stupid grin on my face, just to hear my 4mo ds's brand-new giggle?! It really is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard! Unfortunately, although I did get the housework done, I didn't manage to brush my hair or cook anything, so looked a fright when poor hungry dh came in! He agreed with my prioritisation though, and made tea while I carried on playing with ds :)

YANB at all U. Days like that are priceless.

I never had food ready when DH got in when DD was that little... I have spent many days mostly rolling on the floor because DD used to like pretending to fall over (or something). Smile

Don't misunderstand me, it's not 'expected' that I have food ready for dh coming in, I just felt a bit guilty as I knew he'd had a really long day, had only had a very short lunch break and he's cooked the last 4 or 5 nights which was my motivation in buying him the River Cottage book in the January sales, I love it when a plan comes together

Yanbu! I spent lots of today blowing raspberries on my 4mo dd's tummy for the same reason. I shall try BOO! in the morning.

featherbag · 02/02/2012 21:52

Ooh button I forgot about the raspberries, they're good too! And the 'beeping' of the nose, that's good for a giggle or 2 I find, and just never gets old!

Does he laugh when you pretend to sneeze as well?

Treasure the moments ladies.

My 'baby' is packing up to leave home. He's 19 and starts his dream job as a falconer on Monday and this weekend we're moving him 200 miles away. I shall miss him greatly. It doesn't seem five minutes ago that he was 4mo.

Ah, it's a magical time. I spent the day mainly springing out of the ensuite whilst my 8mo old sat playing on the bed. He jumped out of his skin and giggled his head off every single time. He laughed so hard he toppled over in fact.

We spend a lot of time at the moment just laughing at each other - I smile, he giggles, I laugh, he goes into hysterics! It's my favourite thing to do, nothing makes me happier. I'm trying to make the most whilst he's so easy to please Grin

Right now 11 month old dd thinks anything worn on my head is hilarious, including actual hats. And Boo is still a firm favourite.
