WIBU (and gross) to sell this on Ebay?

I have one of these backless bra bodysuit, but the cups are now too big for me due to weight loss. I have worn it quite a few times, but always over pants and tights because I absolutely detest thongs. In other words, the bra bit has been on my skin but the bottom half hasn't. WIBU to list it on Ebay? They are £42 new so would be quite nice if I could recoup some of that towards a new one.

My friend sold her used maternity knickers. Grin Put it on there-you never know.

cornflowers · 02/02/2012 08:14

Have you washed it??

Shutupanddrive · 02/02/2012 08:15

Would you be happy to buy a used one? I don't think I would. Have a look if similar things are listed, maybe it wouldn't bother some people as long as its been washed

Threeprinces · 02/02/2012 08:15

Used maternity knickers?!?! OMG!

I wouldn't buy it but other people might so worth a go (shudders at thought of second hand undies though!)

VivaLeBeaver · 02/02/2012 08:16

I thought you couldn't sell used underwear on eBay?

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2012 08:16

I know Threeprinces I was Shock but tried not to show it. She got good feedback too.

Here's some

Sad
IUseTooMuchKitchenRoll · 02/02/2012 08:24

You can't even sell cloth or swim nappies on eBay? Shock why not? Assuming they are clearly meant for babies and not adults with fetishes?

squeakytoy · 02/02/2012 08:27

You can sell new but not used. It sounds daft to me though, as you can sell used bath towels... so long as the item has been boiled clean, I dont see why it should be a problem.

ElusiveCamel · 02/02/2012 08:33

Cornflowers Yes, it's been washed! :) I wouldn't ever sell anything on Ebay that wasn't in good condition and freshly washed.

Hmm, not sure whether I'd buy one second-hand on Ebay, but then I've sold several things that I wouldn't buy second-hand - like several car seats.

The idea of second-hand pants is gross. The only reason I was vaguely considering it is because it's always been over 2 layers of something else.

You will be able to sell it as long as you state clearly that you have only worn it with something under.

TotemPole · 02/02/2012 08:38

You'll probably get more for it if you wear it a few times, maybe do some exercise in it, then sell it unwashed.

squeakytoy · 02/02/2012 08:43

There are a lot of pervs on eBay.

I saw a pair of leather thigh high boots at the jumble sale. They were minging.. smelly, well worn doesnt even come close, but they were genuine leather, and had been made in the 1960's in Wardour St London, so would have been quite expensive at the time.

My MIL was with me when I bought them for 20p and she didnt believe me when I said there would be someone who would buy them..

I sold them for £90 Grin

DitaVonCheese · 02/02/2012 08:44

Sell it. Doesn't matter whether you'd buy it or not. It always amuses me when people are so squeamish - things wash you know Wink

Don't expect too much for it though - I sold a brand new wedding basque (changed dress so was surplus) which cost £50ish for £7

RuleBritannia · 02/02/2012 08:47

If you wear one of those bra/one pieces, how do you do a pee? Is there a crotch opening? Or do you have to take off all your clothes?

squeakytoy · 02/02/2012 08:50

pull it to one side Grin

TotemPole · 02/02/2012 08:52

Rule, there'll be poppers at the crotch.

I can't wear that sort of thing. When I undo it to go to the loo the front and back sort of 'ping' and disappear up under clothes. It takes me ages to find them again.

wandawings · 02/02/2012 08:52

What size is it out of interest? I'm not squeamish about this sort of thing and I need one :)

TotemPole · 02/02/2012 08:53

squeaky, you must be a better aim than me. I'd get wee all over my hands.

ChasTittyBeltUp · 02/02/2012 08:56

Your nickname is reminding me of camel toes and that's what I'd think of looking at one of these used. You might even attract the worn undies brigade!

squeakytoy · 02/02/2012 09:00

It is easier than groping about trying to do the poppers.. and then weeing on one of the flaps that is hanging down.. And you can always wash wee off your hands, but walking around with a damp flap after is much more uncomfortable..

I am aware that sounds utterly wrong, but I cant think of any other way to word it Grin

TotemPole · 02/02/2012 09:01

damp flap. Grin

ElusiveCamel · 02/02/2012 09:13

ChasTittyBeltUp Oh dear :) The Elusive Camel is the name of a pub in London that I may have frequented once or twice.

RuleBritannia Yes, there are poppers. These are quite fiddly due to the fact they've made it a thong, but apart from that complaint it's an absolutely brilliant item - if you like wearing backless clothes and I have lots of backless dresses/tops.
