I don't think it's the case that MNers bash these jobs, just that these are the jobs that become controversial threads. For everyone slamming their HV/Dr's receptionist, etc another poster will come on and stick up for the profession. I'd say it's about 50/50.

Doctors, nurses, teachers all came in for massive flack during the pensions saga.

MNers aren't bashing those jobs.

Individuals are bashing other individuals who happen to do those jobs (badly).

Or what SEA said - you complain about the people who you encounter, if you are a mum with small children those are the people who you come across the most so it's statistically more likely that one of them will piss you off than that an air-traffic controller will piss you off.
