to wonder why on earth I thought Ed Byrne was sexy?

Just seen him on Three Men go to Scotland (Dara, Griff and Rory in boats) and my heart sank deeper than a dingy with Rory McGrath in it :o

I always used to think he looked a bit rock and roll, a bit sexy, and more than a wee bit dirty. Loved his hair, and loved his comedy. Sexy and funny, the perfect combo.

Until tonight. When he was revealed in all his glory wearing his wet weather gear ready to climb a hill, for fun. Infact he collects hills, in a manner of speaking, he marks off the ones he has climbed. You know, because they are there Hmm. The train spotter look was bad enough but the fleece and nylon hat jammed on his head like a pudding bowl with straggly bits of hair sticking out of the bottom was just so wrong.

He looked like he had bad breath and lived with his mum!

Now I have no problem with this in itself, whatever floats yer boat, but not him! Not my sexy rock n roll comedian!

Anyone else come down to earth with a bump when a crush turns out to be a geek?!

The monstrous beard has seriously tested me FolkgirlGrin. It's only because I know he is cute under it that I forgive him. I'm not a beard fan either.

Chris Addison was at the Lowry recently and I couldn't get tickets. I was gutted. I could listen to him for ages.

ShowOfHands · 01/02/2012 10:58

Oh FolkGirl. I love him. But I'm too like him I fear.

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 01/02/2012 11:04

Showy - I read that article a while back. It just makes him all the more endearing.

earlyriser · 01/02/2012 11:10

Ed Byrne has been in my bedroom Grin

He used to fancy my room mate at University Grin

He is somewhat too young well, I am somewhat too old for it to be quite proper Blush.

Chris Addison.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

BettyTurnip · 01/02/2012 11:25

"Tea - bagging"? Que? Am not googling, please someone enlighten me?

I used to think Ed Byrne was quite attractive but he's gone to seed in recent years (haven't we all).

Shaggable comedians - that Australian one with one leg, Adam somebody, is rather appealing.

FreePeaceSweet · 01/02/2012 11:31

He looks like he smells of ham.

MorrisZapp · 01/02/2012 16:32

Adam Hills

englishmummyinwales · 01/02/2012 16:43

Oooh and there was I thinking that I was alone in my Chris Addison crush. He is ridiculously thin and once stood up on Mock the Week to show his (very skinny) girl like hips. I am not sure why I find him ridiculously attractive, it goes against any past form of me fancying people, but there you are. I have even forgiven him for the Direct Line adverts (I appreciate he has a child to feed these days)

Fireandashes · 01/02/2012 16:55

ShowofHands I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I've got first dibs on David Mitchell.

I love the fact that Ed Byrne is a nerd and proud of it. More power to nerds!

seeker · 01/02/2012 17:09

I though David Mitchell was gay. Oh, wait, that might have been a rumour that I put qbout to put other women off.......

CaptainRex · 01/02/2012 17:16

Ooh no I love the fact hes a Munro bagger - love scotland, love Ed Byrne

Went to a gig of his last year, and he was brilliant - comedy was more about his wife, new son and their cat

And I got to hug him afterwards - hes very skinny and has lovely aftershave

ShowOfHands · 01/02/2012 17:38

I'm afraid I can let every other man go, but David Mitchell will always be the exception. I just need to have a word with that Victoria Coren first. I want to hate her for stealing him away but alas, I have a bit of a crush on her too.

seeker · 01/02/2012 18:15

Ok. I get Tim Minchin, then.

Minimoog · 09/02/2012 20:36

Ooh, I fancy Ed Byrne like crazy. Sexy, nerdy, funny, what a great combo! Yeah the climbing gear makes him look a bit naff, but as long as it's not all he dresses in nowadays that's fine Wink
I've seen him live so many times I've lost count! The last time I saw him was in Brighton last April. He asked the audience a question about Star Trek " (I'm a nerd as well) and I called out the answer, to which he replied "oh, if I weren't married!" Obviously just as a joke but my face was burning for about 30 mins! Tragic. Blush
Another comedian I find sexy is Dylan Moran. Guess I must have a thing for mad haired Irish guys...
