Ooh I hate you all, now I've just had to go and take spoonful of DS's Nutella! Grin

Frozen After Eights. Nobel Peace in my house when I need chocolate due to murderous PMT rages Prize goes to breatheslowly

LetUsPrey · 30/01/2012 21:52

Not BU in the slightest. Love Nutella. I'm going to have to buy a jar tomorrow.

toofattorun · 30/01/2012 21:52

Oh my God...I thought it was just me who did that! Also glad I am not the only one who wants to physically murder someone for one week of each month!

BelleEnd · 30/01/2012 21:53

Ooooooh it's peanut butter for me. Now I'm hungry. THANK YOU.

(Mind you, thinking of eating Clover by the spoonful is enough to put me off food. Yuuuuuck.)

AteAWholePacketOfBiccys · 30/01/2012 21:53

I had to pick my daughter up from school once as she had a dodgy tum had pooed herself a few days later we found a hidden half eaten jar of Nutella with a spoon in. The look of bleeeuugghhh when we showed it to her to ask if she had eaten it said it all . . . Just a warning . . .

bookbird · 30/01/2012 22:13

Tomorrow's shopping list: Nutella and After eight mints. I'd go get them now, but I'm already in my pj's

KatAndKit · 30/01/2012 22:15

YANBU - I can't have a jar of the stuff in the house or else I would do the same.

ABigGirlDoneItAndRanAway · 30/01/2012 22:15

Cake filling sounds good but I may have to have a few spoonfuls first for quality testing purposes.

fairieswearboots · 30/01/2012 22:27

Nutella and peanut butter together is divine

SecretNutellaFix · 30/01/2012 22:37

please don't sully Nutella by mixing it with that foul substance known as PB.

dearprudence · 30/01/2012 22:41

I haven't attacked a jar of Nutella for ages, but I found some in the cupboard when I was working from home on Friday. Made a cup of tea, got a spoon, finished it off. And I know that I bought it for a camping holiday last summer, and it's been open in the cupboard ever since. Fortunately I have the constitution of an ox.

ManyMomentsOfMadness · 30/01/2012 22:47

Hmmm, I had a few spoonfuls of Nutella earlier - well what was I supposed to do when DH brought 2 jars home yesterday (on offer he said!), but it must be in the fridge for me :)

foreverondiet · 30/01/2012 23:14

Am I missing something, is it not sickly sweet? DC have it on morning toast.

Plus 544 calories for just 100g! My jar is 750g, so half a jar a whole day worth of calories! And expensive?

If it was half a pot of ben and jerry's though Wink......Or several kitkats......

2kidsintow · 30/01/2012 23:15

I realise I am in the minority here, but IMO YABU. Nutella = Yuk. Cadbury's chocolate spread however, is like melted chocolate and is delish on a cracker on by the spoonful.

At £1.80 a jar it isn't cheap, which is probably a good thing and the reason I am not 3 dress sizes larger.

AnEcumenicalMatter · 30/01/2012 23:23

I had a nutella, peanut butter & banana sandwich for lunch today. That's a balanced meal, right...carbs in the form of brown bread only cos we had no trashy white fruit and protein from the nuts? Practically a health food, IMO.

GoingForGoalWeight · 30/01/2012 23:32

I've never ever, ever ate half a jar, always a full one :)

My TOTM too, feeling weepy, sorry for myseIf, sensitive and Angry

I hope you feel better soon :)

imoanruby · 31/01/2012 09:19

Saggy thank you for this thread it has made me feel much better!

DD wanted pancakes with Nutella on last week, we brought a jar she had two pancakes with a scraping on and the jar was left in the cupboard. Everytime i went in the kitchen i had a couple of spoonfuls and before i knew it i'd eaten the whole bloody jar! DD put something in the bin after and said Mummy why have you thrown away the Nutella, there is loads lefts....Blush

I am not buying it anymore!

PigHog · 31/01/2012 18:32

Why didnt I think of that, after a $hit day

A good idea IS a good idea....

*runs off to find spoon

hattymattie · 31/01/2012 18:37

I've done this - well a couple of spoonfuls - but can I just ask - in France we have lots of different size jars - was it the giant size???

TroublesomeEx · 31/01/2012 19:25

You didn't double dip did you?

If you ate half a jar with the same spoon, you really ought to finish it.

Off you go. Wink

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 31/01/2012 19:57

400g jar. And don't worry, I will be finishing it! Grin

I did the same this afternoon and it's even better with a steaming hot cup of Brew when its really cold outside....... my indulgence!

Saltire · 31/01/2012 20:20

Nutella and then a big bag of pretzels to dip in the jar.

I'll leave now shall I Blush

coffeeinbed · 31/01/2012 20:22

Nutella and peanut butter - half and half on a spoon.
Repeat as required!
