Okay, I am not some CEO hotshot but I still don't want to turn up to serious meetings with a notebook covered in bleeding cupcakes and shoes. When did these things become the defining images of womanhood? I don't mind shoes, some of them are quite nice, but the amount of TAT out there raising them into some kind of occult fetish is chilling. Anyway finally found a nice Sanderson print notebook but slightly drained by the amount of shoes I've had to look at. Do 'normal' women love them or something? Or is a lazy sub SATC stereotype?

I second the Moleskine suggestion!

I agree. That's why - for my serious and sensible meetings - I use a pen with a tardis pen top.

stangirl Grin.

I live in the the twee-est county in England so certainly willing to believe that the shops round here make a bee-line for the most loathsome tat (worst example: money boxes with (bleugh) 'SHOE FUND' written on them). But it was the stuff all the internet that baffled me. Still, perhaps no more shit as being a man and being expected to like football.

Cupcakes are the work of a devil who wants to transfer as much fat into our bodies as possible.
Cupcake 'art' is a travesty, as is the crap drawing of shoes on everything.

I like high heels but I don't want to carry round crappy pictures of them.
YANBU at all.

I want to start a 'bring back the fairy cake' movement. Who's in?
