When I gave birth to my children I banned any brides and grooms from being at the births, Was I being unreasonable?

now you're pushing it Wink

you're expecting non-invited guests to stump up for a baby they have input in Confused

"The baby is coming any day soon
As a mummy to be I am over the moon
I've got the pram the bottles the cot
the blankets and nappies, I've bought the lot!
So rather than send little outfits and clothes,
because I've already purchased many of those,
dont send me vests or cream for its rash
Just send me a envelope stuffed with your cash"

'Scuse typos grammar etc, my 8 month old is "helping" :o

Thumbwitch · 30/01/2012 01:09

Bogeyface that is priceless! you should post it on some website for "Babyshowers" - I bet you'd get some takers! Grin

ahem, back to the OP - What, you don't want them to come and witness your Big Day, but you want them to pay for missing it?? What are you, some kind of grasping, tacky birthzilla? next you'll be saying you want the money for your babymoon!!*

(*please note that this word is NOT in my normal vocabulary but is necessary for the theme of the thread)

Could you not have provided some special seating area for the brides and grooms, possibly with a little gift bag to keep them entertained ( a John Lewis catalogue?)

Our baby is coming any day soon
And we are planning our baby-moon
We'll take along our bundle of joy
In pink for a girl or blue for a boy
But dont come to visit, we dont want you there
Just send send us your money to cover the fare

:o

I sense a new career beckoning.....
