They are my twin DSs. They will be 10 next month.

DD (15) is going to a party at 7pm. She invited 3 friends over so they could all get ready here and I was then to drop them off. DH should have been home at 6.30 but he has just told me, he won't be back until at least 8.30 (lorry driver). I cannot fit them all in the car (have a 6 seater). I also have an 18 month old that I will obviously be taking with me! I would like DD and her friends to get to the party as soon as possible as they are being bloody noisy!

I had thought about doing 2 runs leaving DD at home with one friend while I take the two others and then come back for them but that will be a PITA and I need to get DS3 to bed soon, he is normally hoovering at the bottom of the stairs asking to go up at 6.00pm Grin.

The DTSs say they will be fine and are not scared, although DTS2 did say that if there was a fire, he would run upstairs to save the Wii which is not encouraging!

They have never been left before ever. So should I, would you?

I'm sure they'll be fine :)

Besides, I'm assuming it's all over with now? What did you choose to do?

They'll be fine. Make sure they have a mobile to contact you on.

It's fine
How did it go?

if I have to leave DC alone (DS is 12 yo so is fine, lets himself in from school and is alone for an hour on his X Box doing homework) He has all the numbers on his mobile.

I left DD once and wrote my mobile on the kitchen board. She's 9 yo.

I phoned our landline from my mobile so the number was stored. She'd only have to dial 1471 then 3. Provided none of those pesky cold calls got through in the meantime.

Oh and have a 'code' for the phone, like 4 rings then stop. Then ring again.

Yes, I left them. Dialled my mobile no from landline so they only had to press LNR and they called twice whinging that the computer had frozen and they wanted it working nooowww. They were very grown up about it which surprised me. DS3 very happy to get to bed at 7.30!

Will probably not do it again unless in an emergency due to worrying about lightening striking, asteroids hitting house etc.

Thanks all!

That'll be the asteroid the size of a bus that's hurtling towards earth then settle. Is it headed for your house? Grin
