Wrong place I know, but this is where the original thread was; about a Christian organisation who visit schools, and the mum wondered if she was BU to feel a bit meh about it, and she caught the last few minutes of their presentation. I need to know the name of that organisation, because my children's NON faith school is constantly dreaming up religious fun days and I need to find out if they've booked these guys for next weeks fun and games.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Luna. Could it be the Gideon Society? They give out copies of the New Testament and give presentations in schools.

I am assuming non faith doesnt exclude learning about faiths, and is simply a school that doesnt promote one individual faith..

If it's a music group it'll be worldwide message tribe. They've been doing the rounds for years!!!

Squeakytoy - it's a state school that is always taking the children to the local church. If I sent them to a faith school, fair do's, I wouldn't mind. But I sent them to a common or garden state school. I do not want any faiths promoted at my children. I'm not atheist, but, for personal reasons, don't do religion, and do not want it constantly pushed in their faces. People with faith, that's their choice and good for them - but it's not our choice. And I'm fed up with the school assuming.

It's one thing to learn. Quite another to be preached at when you're supposed to be learning...

My DD school had a few 'faith' assemberlies /workshop - She thinks they are fun and she likes to learn new stories. She is 5, and treats thease workshops as any other the school bring in.

I personally have faith although find it difficult to pidgieon hole it into any religion - DD had a fantastic chat with the local vicar at a family christerning recentley - she grilled him for about 1/2 hour as to WHY he believes in god and how does he KNOW scruffy the rabbit is in heaven. He did amazingley well - bearing in mind a few more of the little kids joined in the discussion, and DD conceded that they 'might' be a god she will have to have a bit of a think about it ... then wandered off looking for choclate cake.
