To be given a little bit of notice about being given the sodding class bear

Right, I'm hormonal so please feel free to tell me AIBU but....

Just picked DCs up from CM. To be greeted by DS2 clutching the bag containing the class bear. CM informs me that it has to be back tomorrow. Get home, open the book to find she is right and that you are supposed to get DC to write something, draw something and take a bloody picture. All before tomorrow morning. I'm because if I had been warned I could have picked them up from the CM and done something with him. As it is, I pick them up, they have 15 mins of down time and then they go to bed at 6.30 as they are knackered. And WTF do people do who pick their kids up later???

I refuse to keep him up later to fill in the book so it's not going back tomorrow which will probably mean a black mark but I don't give a stuff.

We had Class Bear for DS1's birthday party weekend.
'Here is CB on the snow dome toboggan slope'
'Here is CB in Pizza Hut'
'Here is CB blowing out candles'
'Here is CB with a party hat'
It was the best in the book not that I am biased

*Oh God, class bear! The child who had it before our did no less than 7 activities over the weekend with bear. Gymnastics, tennis, stagecoach class, French . I kid you not!!!

I felt a bit . we dossed about at home all weekend with teddy . . .*

Ristretto, your weekend sounds a lot more fun and relaxed! 7 activities for such a young child in 1 weekend is a bit much!

Our class bear entry very nearly read "Ds1 dropped me down a rock hole on the beach and watched sadly as I was washed out to sea and drowned"

Fortunately hero Daddy managed to rescue said bear and the entry actually read "Ds1 took me to the beach and we went rock scrambling and ate ice cream"
