To pilfer or not to pilfer?

The Dc got chocolate for Christmas (selection boxes etc). I won't let them eat a lot at once, so there is still a lot left. I've given each of them an empty tin with their name son it and they keep their chocolate there and I let them have a bar of chocolate every few days.

Except, DH keeps helping himself to it, and he refuses to replace what he has taken. I've put the tins away now so that he won't be so tempted. He says I am being anal and the chocolate was originally bought with his money, and I say he is being unreasonable!

So, over to you MN judges!

Grin s'ok, hecate, hectate, hekate - I answer to the lot.

I'm too grateful someone's talking to me to bother what they're calling me Grin

Just tell the DCs that Dad ate their chocolate!
They will ensure he takes them to the sweet shop and replaces it with interest!

CamperFan · 25/01/2012 12:50

I agree with you too hecate Smile

He is wrong, OP!

I am a pilferer. Blush Slaps own wrist.

springydaffs · 25/01/2012 14:58

I used to regularly pilfer my kids' chocolate stashes - but always put it back. ALWAYS.

I could get heavy and say your DH's behaviour is a boundary violation but I won't say that, I'll just say that HIBVVU and should be ashamed.

You are not being remotely U or, indeed, anal. Funny how if you point out something someone is doing wrong, they accuse you of being anal/uptight [strokes chin]

He's going to the shop this evening to get some milk and he's picking up some replacement chocolate whilst he is there. So, this round goes to me.
