So on the train today and booked a ticket on the quiet carriage. I like to sit and read in peace on the train.
Straight after I got on, a woman got on with her baby, maybe about 3 months old. Sat down, took out her phone and had a conversation. Then got out her baby's rattle and rattled it in his face. Then he started crying.
To be honest, I was loath to tell her to move - I didn't want her to think it was an anit-child thing. There were plenty of seats in the rest of the train and since she had reserved a seat, she'd obviously specified that it should be in the quiet carriage.
AIBU to get mad? This happens every time I travel, and I just wonder how people can be so selfish and thick.
