To think referring to my DS and her DCs as babies is a bit odd

My Ds is nearly 6, my friend's DCs are 9, 4 and 20 months. She says things like come round and the babies can play. They're not babies (well the 20mo could still count but is more toddler in my mind) they're children.

It doesn't really matter but I just find it odd.

My wee babe is half a head taller than I am, and I'm not short.

Conclusion: it may be odd, but it's not at all unusual.

It's calling my ds a baby I find odd. He is my baby but I wouldn't ever say babies when referring to other peoples dcs
