I'm 9 months pregnant due on wednesday, DP broke 2 of his fingers yesterday in spectacular fashion A&E doc said 'how on earth did you manage that' break looks like an orange peel curved round it's his right hand so can't do much for himself, was at hospital from 7.30 this morning getting it fixed and xrays, he'll be off work for at least 3 weeks with a new baby and no bloody right hand plus works on bonus so money will be basic next month. I have spent the rest of the afternoon til now helping take care of my grandad who has weeks to live and is very very ill with cancer been helping my granmother clean his shit from the bed/sofa/bathroom since he has the runs and is unable to get to the loo alone infact won't even try just shits his pull ups. finally got home and need to make poor DP some decent food am shattered totally shattered mentally emotionally and physically.

My mum was supposed to be babysitting my niece for the night as she does evey weekend but since my granfather is so ill and we have relatives coming from USA tomorrow she has had to cancel. My sisters now on the phone asking me to babysit over night... my reaction was eh no to which i was told i was being selfish i'm just sitting at home anyway!! The reason sister NEEDS a babysitter tonight is because she's going round her friends with a bottle and she's already bought the bottle plus she's really hung over from last night and can't cope with a 4 yr old!!!!!!

First what happens if i go into labour during the night? second i can hardly move about i'm so huge and sore with SPD DP has no right hand so thats not helpful, I've had a shocking week trying to take care of grandad and gran running up and down to them i just want to sit on my sofa and watch mindless TV tonight i don't care if it's selfish but i'm done for the week and i refuse to feel bad for not babysitting so she can go on the piss!! GRRRRR

feel better now. Tell me IBU at your own risk lol

Sorry YABU. It wouldn't exactly kill you to have the kid. If you're only sitting on the sofa anyway you probably won't even notice they're there.

Joke! :o

YOur choice not to babysit but by christ Im so glad you aren't related to me.

I have spent the rest of the afternoon til now helping take care of my grandad who has weeks to live and is very very ill with cancer been helping my granmother clean his shit from the bed/sofa/bathroom since he has the runs and is unable to get to the loo alone infact won't even try just shits his pull ups

I'm sure yoru grandfather just loves swilling about in his own squallor and knappies knowing he has your disapproval.

ZhenThereWereTwo · 21/01/2012 17:12

She said it was a RANT. Good Lord.

Also, most people (My Great Grandmother, died at 104) would at least make an effort to get to the toilet, if at all possible.

It's a rant, off a pregnant, hormonal woman, dealing with a LOT of pressures. Sorry but SHIT is GROSS. SHIT is a pain to deal with, it's yucky, bacteria-ridden and just a really HARD job.

Your high horse is gonna cause you one hell of an assache, should you ever fall off.

pigletmania · 21/01/2012 17:39

I agree anneatkins but could not find the right words

kiki22 · 21/01/2012 17:42

Thank you anneatkins and everyone else

troisgarcons try watching someone give up completely and treat you like a slave (his words today was 'it's your job to look after me not my own you can just change me') when he is physically able to go to the loo watching my poor gran with tears in her eyes as he poo's all over her living room for the 3rd time and not get frustrated and angry especially when pregnancy hormones are turning you into an emotional wreck

There is no way I'd want to be cleaning my grandad's shit off the sofa if I were 9 months pregnant. How can you clean when you can't even see your toes?

YANBU - doesn't your sister's DS go to bed? The evenings in my house aren't hard work because DS is in bed

nectarina · 21/01/2012 18:40

Yanbu at all of course.
Just like to say that despite no bonuses i'd see dp's hand as a blessing in disguise with regards to your new baby. Lets hope he learns how to make you meals with his left....

scarletforya · 21/01/2012 19:03

Agree with you anneatkins, OP hope you have your feet up and some tasty nibbles to relax with, you need it after today Brew
