"I bet you're on Mumsnet typing AIBU - I've pooed my pants". She's 11. Now she, her dad and her sleepover friend are thinking of bizarre things to say. So far I've got DH spouting initials at me (he thinks the DH/DD thing is freaky), baby names, Marmite has been suggested and DD has just said 'I've bought a broken scooter, should I take it back'. Am I spending too much time on here???

Grin step away from the keyboard.

Disclaimer: my DD likes it when I call her "DD". Blush

Thankyou for the advice. DD & friend are delighted we got a response Grin

Hello Flabber's DD and DD's F. YABU towards your DM. I hope you aren't her PFB or else you are being even more disrespectful IYSWIM?

HTH

"AIBU to lock my dd and her df in the cupboard under the stairs unless they make me a cup of tea Right Now?"

Wink

Nice point Purple. DD is my PFB, in fact she's my OB (only born) so it is much more disrespectful. DD is now saying I'm mad. Just off to explain to her that this isn't a nice thing to say and lock her under the stairs. DH just passing me a cup of coffee. Maybe I can put up with the disrespectfulness (is that a word???).

Enjoy your weekends everyone and thanks for making our morning :)

Have you pooed your pants though?

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 21/01/2012 12:21

If I was Flapper I'd be making it DD's pants.

Wailywailywaily · 21/01/2012 12:28

My DS1 (11yrs) said, immediately after I had made a dinner disaster, "I bet your going on mumsnet now, I hope they give you a roasting for forcing me to eat smoked mackerel" then slouched off to his PS3. so I did Grin

He was BU too :)

NorthernWreck · 21/01/2012 12:33

my ds just saw me laughing at the "have you pooed you pants comment" and is trying to read over my shoulder.
It's really hard trying to go on MN with all these children around.

flapperghasted · 21/01/2012 15:33

I'm with you Northern Mumsnet without kids would be much better. When I read out the responses, DD and DH both immediately started thinking up more and more outrageous comments to make. DH's were full of initials (he asked if DD could be interchangeable with Darling Daughter) and DD's were just obscent (age appropriate obscene, but obscene none the less.

Waily I think all children should be subjected to burnt offerings once in a while. Doesn't it make them more grateful when the meals are yummy??

The Clanger and Empress it was definitely DD who pooed in her pants. I haven't pooed in my pants for, ooh, yonks :)
