To think that Tesco's should be able to get hold of 2 lt bottles of Diet Coke?

Went to tescos on Sunday and no 2nd bottles of diet coke in stock, it's quite a big one so was very surprised even with an offer on. Fast forward to tonight and I have just got back and they still do not have any.

So as there was no-one queuing at customer services thought I would ask why (yes I'm that sad), she double checked her computer, and it said no unavailable. She went and phoned a friend asked someone else and mystery solved....they've not been sent any. Although she did suggest I went to another supermarket and that would tell me if it were just them or everyone.

AIBU to think they can stock it within a week and not tell me to go to another supermarket?

Full fat coke went out of favour when I did weight watchers many moons ago. Now I would find it hard to drink it at all let alone enjoy it.

It's awful stuff. My dad is completely addicted to it.

When I was a kid, we were in the supermarket and I turned to my mum and said, in my best Piercing Kid Voice, "Dad's addicted to Coke, isn't he?"

At one point he was getting through a good couple of ltrs a day, and getting irritable and having headaches if he hadn't had enough.

Bad stuff. It's a drink and a multi-purpose cleaner. cleans loos, removes rust and corrosion, gets grease out of your clothes...

I wanted a whole poached salmon once so went to a local Waitrose. They had none in stock but it wasn't the end. They rang a branch not too far away and got one brought over for me. That's Customer Service for you.

All fizzy drinks are vile to me now especially Coke and have been for some years. It is addictive stuff.
