I am trying very hard to teach my kids not to say certain things. Sadly my younger ones have picked up horrible phrases from older siblings (fair sized age gap) so I now have a 3 year old saying "shut up!" and "Oh my God!" - no super bad words yet but I do hate it and am working on it. The older ones will get a consequence for saying such things as well as the younger ones.

Replacements thus far are "oh my days" "oh my goodness" "be quiet please" but it's a work in progress. We are pretty careful at home but you can't legislate the school playground.

Still, could be worse - my 12 yr old told me a boy in her class has been grounded for calling his Mum a "stupid f*king B**h" :-O Mine would NEVER say that to me and I would have their guts for garters is they did!
