Dh woke me to tel me I was snoring.

I am 38 weeks pregnant suffer from pg insomnia and the second he woke me I could tast the horrible acid bile from my acid indigestion. And now I can't sleep.. :( (3:30 am here). Have to be up in a few hours for one year old dd too. I think it could actually be grounds for justifiable homicide.

May I be the first to say it - leave the bastard!

storminabuttercup · 20/01/2012 08:38

YY leave the bastard!

kittensmakemesqueee · 20/01/2012 08:39

Oh thank god, was worried I might be overreacting.

A kick to the bollocks is very effective. As is a knee in the nose.

What a wanker.

friendswithbenefits · 20/01/2012 09:57

I agree with Stealth and everyone else.

Kick him in the bollocks, knee him in the nose, stick pins in his eyes and then leave the bastard.

CailinDana · 20/01/2012 09:58

Tell him the only way to cure pregnancy insomnia is by sleeping on your husband, then heft yourself upon him. That'll learn him.

addictediam · 20/01/2012 10:06

I too have to say leave him! I have 1yo DD who still wakes in the night and am 37 weeks and have horrible insomnia. If dh dared wake me there would be trouble (I don't mind DD waking me!) He just goes and sleeps on the sofa now when I start snoring as he does when he starts snoring! I've tried telling him he'd be better off just starting out on the sofa, but he doesn't listen!!

HeadfirstForHalos · 20/01/2012 10:10

When he's asleep wake him up and tell him he's being a twat.

YANBU.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 20/01/2012 10:11

Maybe not grounds for divorce but a kick in the knackers wouldnt have been uncalled for :)

BrianButterfield · 20/01/2012 10:24

Don't leave him, that would be totally irrational and unjustified.

Murder the bastard.

Witchofthenorth · 20/01/2012 10:29

I would have gouged out his eyes with a rusty spoon the divorced him! (too much?):)

PostBellumBugsy · 20/01/2012 10:34

I think you should keep waking him up when you have insomnia to tell him you are lonely & need a cuddle or a bit bored & need someone to chat to, or feeling a bit odd & think labour might be starting, or you couldn't hear him breathing & wanted to make sure he was stil alive, heard a noise & thought it was burglars etc etc.

Failing that, follow all very good advice from previous posters! Grin

TantePiste · 20/01/2012 10:35

my rule going forward would be - if i am awake, he gets to keep me company. though i do love the hefting yourself on him idea. have you tried sleeping sitting up? that helped me with the heartburn.

kittensmakemesqueee · 20/01/2012 14:02

HE spent the next 2 hours with me awake switching back and forth between telling him I hate him and crying. I think he's learned a very valuable lesson.

Kick in the knackers if he does it again though!

How do people sleep sitting up- i just can't do it!:(
