A boy from down the road a bit has called to play with ds. He only comes once in a blue moon and is a bit older than ds and doesnt go to his school.
Anyway...I am in the next room so can hear them playing and the boy is constantly asking ds if he can have his toys. Shock

Boy...."oh you have a (insert lego namey here) . Can I have it?"
Ds "to keep? er,no"

Boy...."is this a robot"?
Ds "yes"
Boy: "can i keep it?

He is push push pushing it....eases off and then asks for something else

This isnt normal is it? Shock

OP definitely praise your DS this evening on how he handled it though.

Will do.

He has just asked for a ds game ...he is persistant, I'll give him that.

you said he only calls for your son once in a blue moon more than likely other parents are a bit fed up with him if he is like this with your son he is like this with others you are patient i would tell him its time to go home if i heard it all the time ,

I would explain to your son not to give the toys to him without talking to you about it first. I think it is normal behaviour, it might be good to knock on his parents door to get to know them a little. If he does not have many of his own things your could give any unwanted things to him if it is ok wiht his parents.

When my brother was small, he had a friend who had to be frisked every time he left our house, in the end he used to raise his arms to be frisked, he got so used to it!Grin
I tend to be wary of children like this. Once or twice, the ds's have lent things only to be told "you never lent us that, that's ours." when they went to collect it.

i actually don't think this is that unusual. DD has had a couple of friends who are a bit like this.
