to stay up all night and tidy/declutter

Im not in the least bit tired right now and know if i went to bed i wouldnt sleep. DD1 is back at school tomorrow and i know i would sleep in since we havent been getting up early during the holidays. So i was thinking it might be worth pulling an all nighter and tidying up and stuff. I also have 1 year old twins but im pretty sure i could survive till bedtime tomorrow then just have an early night then.

My neighbours tidied and decluttered on Christmas Day.

There was an 'incident' and they decluttered a blood soaked towel into my wheelie bin. Had the police round and all sorts. I found it on Boxing Day when I was doing some decluttering of my own.

Am still pissed of about it!!

I have two wheelie bins. Never checked the other one!

Confused

So, no. I don't worry about them.....!!

Slightlytinsellyexpat · 09/01/2012 01:45

I'm joining in too!

Also in a different time zone, so it's morning for me and I should be doing something more productive than MN, really I should, but I have no self-control any more.

I shall set a timer for ten mins and see what I can achieve....

garlicfrother · 09/01/2012 01:48

You're bonkers, OP Grin

It's the sort of thing I do - hence my frequent 4am postings - but I am barking mad suffering a mental illness. Am quite jealous of you, though - dointhecleanin would be a far more constructive use of the night than faffing around going "I'll go to bed when ... ", "... just after I've ..." Confused
Resolution:
Next time I find I'm up all night, I'll do some housework!

How are you getting along?

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 01:57

i got side tracked with that bloody logo thingy but im about to start. Not such a rush as the babysitter that was coming tomorrow isnt but theres no point going to bed now cos there would be no chance of getting up. So im gonna go to 15 mins in the kitchen, put dishwasher on and a load in the washing machine. Then ill have coffee and have a wee break mumsnet

Back soon :)

Well washing machine and dishwasher on. Kitchen nearly done. After my wee break ill finish kitchen and start on living room. Might even get the christmas tree down today Blush

Blimey! Half an hour and you've done the kitchen? Slow down, OP, you'll be able to get a half-decent night's kip at this rate Grin

Good luck. I'm going to bed - no housework done. Oh, but I've loaded the washing machine, inspired by you :) Bit too noisy for next-door's kids at night, but it's ready for the morning. Cheers!

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 02:42

I figure the washing machine is next to the front door in the laundry room (converted toilet) so next door shouldnt hear it since i barely hear it in the house. The living room will probably take till next week to do though lol

Are you still up, OP? I regularly do this.

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 03:53

yup still up, having a wee bowl of crunchie nut cornflakes then gonna keep going. Kitchen done, washing in tumble dryer and another load in the dishwasher (its tiny)

CheshireDing · 09/01/2012 04:22

Can you be my overnight cleaning fairy? Grin

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 04:24

haha my house is a mess and really needed done. The problem is with the holidays ive been having to keep 3 children happy and housework has been abandoned. DD1 is back at school today but i have a feeling it will be harder since the twins have had their big sister around to play so dont think ill get much done later.

OP posts:
Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 05:39

Washing folded and ready to put away, toys sorta more organised. Cuppa then its the christmas tree :)

Slutty I wish i'd seen this earlier because I have done exactly the same as you! Blush

I've been watching the crime and investigation channel whilst ironing and scared myself half to death Grin

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 06:10

Ive got an hour left before i need to wake up DD, well maybe and hour and half at a push. Might make some pancakes as a wee treat for her since shes gotta go back to school

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 07:28

Haha i know but i dont feel too bad. Might have a nap when the twins do. At least ill be tired tonight

OP posts:
Gumby · 09/01/2012 07:44

You can bet today is the day they won't nap
Or at least not at the same time!

TrinityRhino · 09/01/2012 07:50

wow you are hardcore, I'm well impressed, I'm so useless with no sleep this is something I would never have contemplated and I haven't had twins!

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 07:53

Thats where im lucky, they are fab sleepers and will only sleep if the other is there and they can hold hands through the cot bars :o

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 09/01/2012 07:59

awww thats so sweet and a fab way to have them nap together lol

Lovemygirls · 09/01/2012 08:03

Well done, hope your house stays tidy, we did ours last monday and it's still ok, we've just been keeping on top of it and considering I'm a childminder and I have 6-7 kids here a lot of the time that's quite an achievement I think Smile

ditavonteesed · 09/01/2012 08:10

omg how are you still awake. you are a better woman than me thats for sure.

Sluttybuttons · 09/01/2012 09:30
