To be really pissed off about this year's 'Celebrity' Big Brother

I know it's been said before and by people more elequent than me, and I know it makes me sound like a ranting Daily Mail reader, but I was so annoyed when I saw the line up for this pile of crap in the paper this morning.

It just seems so wrong that at a time when many of us are really struggling, there are people being paid to appear on TV because they are 'famous' for cheating on their partner, doing drugs and having no talent or taking their clothes off and appearing on other similarly rubbish shows.

I know I don't have to watch it but just because I don't doesn't mean it isn't happening and I find that really, really depressing. True, there are a lot of worse things happening in the world but for some reason this has really wound me up today - am I the only one?

BB has run its course. The very first (non celeb) one was very interesting and natural. It's all too engineered and predictable now and certainly not interesting. Just don't watch it. You'd be better spending your time watching the Test Card (do they still have that?)

I pissed off that its on at all.

It should have died on C4.

southeastastra · 06/01/2012 12:36

it's very popular with some people

you could argue that shows like the x factor etc have also run their course, or downton bleedin abbey Grin

luckily you can turn it off, i do get depressed of the lack of hardly anything i like to watch being on telly

There's less to watch on TV now than there was when there were just four channels.

I really enjoy it ! I agree its sad most of them are talentless nobodies but I still like to watch it,it was really funny last night with the things BB was making Natalie say.

Downton Abbey's Christmas special was crap - that has definitely run its course. The explanation of the events of Christmas day at the beginning so it could be translated easily was laughable. Costumes are great though!
