I've heard the phrase "Got off with" which means had a snog etc but the phrase "Got with" escapes me.

I've heard/used 'got together', or 'got together with', but that tends to be more relationship starting than getting it on. Maybe it is just an abbreviation, like the encounter!

ComposHat · 05/01/2012 11:31

I particularly loathe the phrase 'get naked' grr.

Mandy2003 · 05/01/2012 11:34

And 'fell for' a baby Hmm

ShirleyKnottage · 05/01/2012 11:37

"Get with" it Getorf you OAF.

I use the phrase "Came on to Me" like "Oh yeah and I was standing by the bar and Brad Pitt was there and he came on to me and I was all Shock" Which means that Brad Pitt made a sexual pass at me.

My cousin, who lives in Welsh Wales, uses the phrase "Came on to Me" as in "I was standing at the bar and that bloody cow, Anee Widdecombe, came on to me". She means that Anne Widdecombe came over to her and starting chatting to her.

So.

Do normal people watch Jezza Kyle? Wink

That's one expression I'll happily not learn.

GetHerOffTheBloodyBed · 05/01/2012 11:52

i've moved from people of jezza getting with other people to Birth Days where they have to count through contractions and a psychologist is claiming newborns need routines and some woman has announced in surprise that 'when he cries it usually means he is hungry' no shit Hmm

must do something more productive with my day off.

I use the phrase 'go with'/'went with' meaning 'sleep with'/'slept with'. Idk where I picked it up from as no one else I know says it. Probably Jeremy Kyle. Depressing

molly3478 · 05/01/2012 14:00

I use the phrase get with/got off with first one is shag second is snog. Everyone knows that these rules where set in school days!

molly3478 · 05/01/2012 14:00
