Watching One Born Every Minute...DH got all teary at memories of DCs births so went upstairs to stare emotionally at smallest offspring, waking her up in the process. Then he said she doesn't want her dummy she wants her Mam. Cue yawns, bleary eyes and the inevitable line 'icm tired I'm off to bed now'. DD is now wide awake, can't put hr to bed cos she shares a room with DD1 and she'll wake up and there will be 2 out of 3 up. Am a little pissed off at DH..I know he works but 3 kids (5,4 and 1) 2 of whom are getting bored not being at school/nursery doesn't make for a nice easy relaxing day...blerghhhh!

He woke her so he can get her back off to sleep
He can't be allowed to get away with this, stupid idiot, consequences and all that.
If he doesn't then he owes you BIG TIME bABY

YANBU. He should put her back to sleep.

DD is STILL up! DH says she cried before he went in but I didn't hear her and I ALWAYS hear her...Hmm

I would take her in to him, and then grab a duvet and go down and sleep on the sofa. Let him deal with her.

JustHecate · 05/01/2012 07:33

Oh dear. Hope she went off in the end and you got some sleep!

for future reference - rule in our house (ok, MY rule Grin ) was that if you wake 'em, you deal with 'em and no 'got to be up in the morning' bleeting will be listened to. Don't care if you're going to a 12 hour shift down t'pit, get in there! Grin

Might I suggest advance warning of a similar rule.

NewYearsDaysie · 05/01/2012 07:51

She nodded off about 3am. And DS and DD1 got up at 6am. DH had the audacity to complain he was tired! He'd been in bed since 10.30!

I bet you feel like throttling him this morning, NewyearsDaysie. If i were you, I would start deciding in the middle of the kids bedtime routine that you are "off to bed" and leave him for a few nights to sort them out and tidy the kitchen after tea. He sounds unbelievably thick or unbelievably selfish, or perhaps both!!

Kill the bastard.
