Special Christmas Present - NUTS

I work in an office in a mixed group of men and women. I arrived early this morning at my desk and tried to get my bearing for the new year. I opened my draw and found someone had placed in the NUTS Christmas Special.

My desk is at the end of a row, near the window and someone would have had to make a special journey to put it there. The office was mostly empty and initially I felt very upset and quite intimidated by it.

Over the course of the day, it seems that my male colleague placed it there just before Christmas (I had finished to be the kids). He wasn't in today so I have seen him. The reaction I have had from women is get over it, I would have thrown it in the bin and said nothing. I am very annoyed at his actions, and just wonder what he thinks of me. I am not sure how to play it at all... any suggestions and AIBU to be upset??

An innocent explanation? Surely not! Not on MN!

What would happen if you tell your line manager? I think it would be harassment under the Equality Act. You may of course think of a more informal, more embarrassing way to bring it up with him. Important thing is that you are not the one left embarrassed. I wonder is this a one-off, or would he try something again or with someone else?

Id have read it and cut out the pics of Lucy Pinder and put them in my scrap book.

I think thepeoplesprincess has got the most likely explanation.

In the spirit of Christmas just ignore it.
Either it was a bit of "end of term" sillyness and you'll look grumpy complaining.
Or the culprit is a sexist twit. Who hopefully will be daft enough to do something probably stupid. The you can drop them in it.

Sorry awful typos, restless children.

I thought cleaner straight away, but apparently someone has seen this man put it in there Confused
