Took 12yr old dd2 for bra fitting at M&S today.

Fitter didn't quite say " but no one has boobs that size " but might as well have !!!!

She wandered in, looked at dd and said " well 12 is really very young to be in a wired style"...........ummm...... Well maybe but make a flippin bra that fits her without wires and that would help!!

In the end there 28 back range didn't fit as it stops as DD anyway.... We left empty handed. Just as well she doesn't have self esteem problems.

In the end we went back to bravissimo - and had a lovely sensitive fitter, who sorted her out with the same style as she has now in a bigger cup size. But I shall clearly have to feed her more as some of the other 28 backs were really a bit loose!

Now all I do is take out a second mortgage to get a couple more ( actually no I've grabbed last years colours from eBay which helps!).

sillybillies they do advise against it, but quite it's ridiculous really. A properly fitting bra is not going to crush your milk ducts - and I got mastitis from sleeping in a non-wired one after I fell out the top. Further, once breastfeeding is established, the risks are minimal. Certainly around 6 months the breast size settles down as milk production is on demand and the breasts stay soft and don't become engorged. It doesn't exactly help extended breastfeeding when you realise that self-weaning might require 2 - 3 years or longer of looking like shit in unsupportive, unflattering bras that make your tits hang to your waist. :(

I didn't know Bravissimo had shops (off to google now), I managed to get an amazing strapless bra in Rigby and Pellar which actually worked on my 38F boobs, (or 42B by the M and S measuring system!) Its not a thing of beauty tho, it looks like 2 pudding basins joined together!
