Titanic's on just now. Never even really liked it in the first place but I've still seen it 10-20 times!

There are probably 100 films I've seen 100 times.

DP thinks this is mad but it's not that unusual is it? (DS is exactly the same)

I have hardly seen any films compared to most people, but the few favourites I have, I've seen many times.

Ditto! Grin

Jaws, The Godfather (all of them), Once Upon A Time In America, The Red Shoes, Citizen Kane, Jane Eyre and Truly,Madly,Deeply.

My "go-to" films if I need a bit of cheering up. Love them all!

FreudianSlipper · 24/12/2011 10:58

forgot about Midnight Run, Amelie, Grease and The Lost Boys (which i must have seen at least 10 times), To Kill A Mockingbird, Coming To America

series i have watched more than once Seinfeld, The Wire, SATC and Curb your Enthusiasm. Shall watch The Sopranos for the second time in the new year

andaPontyinaPearTreeeeee · 24/12/2011 11:08

I'm not so into films but I watch series a lot - friends, family guy, futurama, American dad etc. FC has got us some Scrubs DVDs too :o

DH is more likely to watch films repeatedly, he likes Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and anything with Simon Pegg/Nick Frost - we got Paul 3 weeks ago and he's seen it several times already! I just go on MN do something else if that's what he chooses, I do love a lot of the same stuff but I don't watch it with him every time. We don't have a tv aerial (by choice) so we watch DVDs more I think.

I get free DVD rentals with my new job so I am getting out lots of new films and series to watch :)

The Bourne Identity is on this evening at 11pm. Just in case anyone needs to brush up on the details. Smile

Marie reminded me of the use of "scheisse!"

For me it is the Twilight films. I know at 41 nearly 40 praps that's a little young for me, but I do like that James Pattinson. I also have the complete 7 series box set of Buffy which I have sat through in it's entirety 6 times. And Angel and Firefly box sets. I also love pride and prejudice with Colin Firth (yum). Film wise it's Cruel Intentions, Sense and Sensibility, Stardust and Lord of the Rings.

Perhaps we should start a MN fan club for Stardust?

DeePanCrisPandEeeven · 24/12/2011 16:40

Permanently - I suspect the Stardust Fan Club is already underway!

It's in a genre of it's own, almost ( along with The Princess Bride). So quotable, so funny, so fantastical, such good settings ( incl the Isle of Skye) and star-studded.

Another one for me is "Wings of Desire" from Wim Wenders, that was utterly butchered by Hollywood and Nicholas Cage as "City of Angels". The original Berlin setting knocks L.A. into a directors chair.

LordOfTheFlies · 24/12/2011 21:20

We'll be watching The Snowman tomorrow, even if I have to tie the DCs to chairs it's a family tradition. It pre-dates the DCs Xmas Grin before we were a family.

redlac · 24/12/2011 23:36

I'm watching From Hell with Johnny Depp just now even though I have seen it loads of times

LaFilleSurLePont · 24/12/2011 23:43

I love From Hell.

redlac · 24/12/2011 23:48

I must have watched it at least 15 times lafille

LaFilleSurLePont · 24/12/2011 23:52

I can't top that.I've only watched it half a dozen times or so,but I do love it,and think I'll watch it soon. The scene when his eyes turn black makes me jump every time.Blush
