to find it odd when people refer to their babies as sexy....

Title says it all really. I have a friend who calls her one year old ds her sexy little man (actually has done for as long as I can remember) , I know, its her baby she can call him what she likes, but sexy ?? Really?

sexy is still used as a term for a man or woman who is sexually attractive

so i will never call ds or a child sexy, it is just wrong

I know people who do it along with the wit wooing. It upsets me and one man I know who does it was raped regularly for years as a teen by a family member so it upsets me that he does it even more.

One family that does it also teach their children to speak with "can you say 'bitch'?" "say 'bastard'" and of course severely punish their children when they swear as they get older...

I call my daughters beautiful, gorgeous, hunny, baby, sweetie etc because they're words that either describe them or my love for them without suggestion anything inappropriate.
