To think my neighbour shouldn't allow her children into my house!!

My neighbour feeds my cats when I'm away. The last 2 times she has allowed her children who are teens into my house. Last time I only found out when I asked as her daughters had recorded something on my sky box and also listened to my answer machine messages. This time I thought someone had been in my bedroom, certainly upstairs and scart lead was out of back of tv, she told me she let her son who is in his 20s into my house, to have time alone!!
I'm not sure if anything is missing, but dont think it is.
Aibu to think this isn't on??

Bloody hell what a nerve! Find someone else to feed your cat !

Pandemoniaa · 16/12/2011 20:37

No, it isn't on. If you wanted to make your house available for random use that's unconnected to cat feeding, you'd have said so. She's taking the piss, I'm afraid but do you have anyone else who could look after the cats?

NoOnesGoingToEatYourMincePies · 16/12/2011 20:37

I'd be really angry and looking for someone more trustworthy to feed the cats next time.

WorraLiberty · 16/12/2011 20:37

OMFG you are so NBU Shock

roundcornsilkvirgin · 16/12/2011 20:37

how rude! Shock that's outrageous

needanewname · 16/12/2011 20:40

Omfg! Is this for real? Cheeky mare. I would give her hell (once I'd got your keys back obviously!)

duvetdayplease · 16/12/2011 20:41

Wow - YA def NBU! You have to find someone else to do the cats. That is well out of order.

SKIP1 · 16/12/2011 20:41

Of course you are not being unreasonable - what she has allowed to happen is outrageously rude. If you don't wish to make a fuss about it and risk falling out with someone you will be potentially be living next to for years then ask for the key back on some pretext (a friend needs it) and just don't ask again!

lisad123 · 16/12/2011 20:46

She doesn't have key all the time, just when we are away. I could ask friend round corner but that's not always possible. I had said in the summer her daughters were welcome to come play in the garden as we have trampoline and stuff and they have nothing. I'm freaking out that something's might be missing and I don't know yet!

That is so shocking! I would feel bad about going in to someones house to feed the pets as if I was on someone else's territory that I would want in and out ASAP iyswim. But to let her kids have literally free reign is so shocking, I would ask someone else to feed pets next time.

I don't like someone else poking around and certainly wouldn't do it to someone else

Is v disrespectful of your property and privacy

pigletmania · 16/12/2011 21:00

YANBU I would find somebody else to feed the cats tbh.

GypsyMoth · 16/12/2011 21:03

Her 20 year old sons time alone involved removing your scart lead??

HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 16/12/2011 21:09

I think you have no other choice but to make alternative arrangements for the cat in future

Chundle · 16/12/2011 21:17

Put cats in cattery . Costs less than have ur stuff stolen or house trashed after a party!

StealthPenguin · 16/12/2011 21:22

Uh...

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DOES SHE THINK SHE IS DOING?!

Livid on your behalf. I'd be absolutely going apeshit.

Sparklingbaubles · 16/12/2011 21:24
