Found out my christmas present.

Typing on phone so excuse the spelling.

DP has a smart phone, I don't. As I struggle sleeping I often use DP phone to mumsnet etc. when I can't get to sleep.

DP knows this and asked me to not look at any text messages from a certain person as there had been present discussion. Have been a good girl and stayed well away.

We are on a budget this year as have DC3 on the way so we are doing small presents for each other and I want a surprise.

Anyway was just looking for a photograph on the phone, for DP present strangely enough and have come across a photo of what is clearly my present from DP.

I feel so guilty, do I tell DP or keep quiet?

Even worse, I love the present but it's over our agreed budget and I can't see how DP has afforded this without borrowing money that we can't afford to pay back.

What should I do?

I had one last year and it has been the best present I've had for a long time. We've both used it loads and the quality of the photos (memories for later) are far superior to our old one.

Dh couldn't really afford it at the time, but paid off his overdraft quite soon.

Now, practise that surprised look!

I'm just wondering why she would take a photo of the phone in the first place and then store the pic on the phone that she knows you regularly use. Do you think that a bit strange OP?

I really did mean a photo of the camera, not the phone (Doh!!)

I think she has sent the photo to someone, most likely my brother who knows his stuff with regards to cameras hence why she asked me to stay out of messages. Shame she didn't think to delete the pic.
