and sneaked into a shopping centre. I am almost 50, I should have more sense. I was expecting security to grab me out of there but they didn't loads of people made a fuss and I didn't go into anywhere that sold food just jewellery and games shops, no one minded.

Just left the garage then caused havoc with the car (see other thread) but before that I was having fun being devilish with the puppy. It's nice to break the rules sometimes. Is that Unreasonable?

YABU and will be punished in the afterlife! lol

YANBU even though I don't like animals in shops, and probably would give you a sniffy look, I also completely agree with you. You've lived a little and been 'naughty' sometimes it feels good and you didn't hurt anyone. :)

sitandnatter · 13/12/2011 19:23

Aldiwhore sometimes, just sometimes you have to not be serious, dull, boring and live a little even if that is stuffing a puppy down your top. Smile

I have to say that's the most fun I've had today and that's sad. Grin

Aww I love puppies! What kind of puppy do you have? It will help me judge whether you are BU or not.

GoingForGoalWeight · 13/12/2011 19:24

YANBU! :) No harm was caused

SoupDragon · 13/12/2011 19:25

I hope it wees on you next time you try it.

GoingForGoalWeight · 13/12/2011 19:25

sitandnatter · 13/12/2011 19:26

She is a staffie cross, about half the size of a staffie full breed and a rescue dog. Do I have to go to hell now? Grin

Way back in the days before dogs were banned from stores, our family Cocker used to cock his leg up the counter in Woolies whenever he was taken in there. He may well have been responsible for the ban being introduced.

HairyNigel · 13/12/2011 19:33

In that case YANBU! I like breaking the rules sometimes aswell, it's fun! Xmas Grin

YANBU

What harm!? Xmas Grin Wish I had a dog in me coat but there's hardly room for me atm!

spikeymikey · 13/12/2011 19:49

It is a lovely thing to do. I am in favour of drug decrimilisation because I think that there is some buzz in doing something illegal, and if they were legal or decriminalised the little, 'naughty' thrill would be removed.

(My pup, when a pup, was in my poacher's pocket and it was lovely to show.)

squeakytoy · 13/12/2011 19:51

my husband wants to put a bonnet on our dog, put him in a car seat and just tell anyone who asks that he is a really ugly baby Grin

spikeymikey · 13/12/2011 19:51

When were dogs banned from shops/food-related things?
My mother is still bitter about shops banning pushchairs.

Was there some change in the law to allow pushchairs and ban dogs?

Sibling4 · 13/12/2011 19:54

I hide mine in the basket under the pushchair quite often

Sibling4 · 13/12/2011 19:56

Mind you I live in a small town and most shops (non food ones) positively welcome dogs

MistletoeAndPinot · 13/12/2011 19:58

YANBU but I'd have outed you if I'd have seen you as I'd have squealed really loudly at the cute puppy!

RetroMuff · 13/12/2011 20:00

YANBU, you didn't do any harm. I love puppies and would have made a fuss of yours if I'd seen it.

I was in a clothes shop recently and the owner had her tiny puppy just playing in the shop. And he had done a poo in the window display! Xmas Grin Yes, if you're a Mumsnetter, I mean your shop in Saffron Walden.

sitandnatter · 13/12/2011 20:06

Hell you horrible lot, thought I was an anarchist, now I feel as if I am not kicking back at authority in my old age. Grin

I used to do this in the very poshest of shops in town when I was a teenager, a wee tiny white toy poodle and he loved it too. I was a weird teenager, took that poodle everywhere with me.. go on have fun, do it again :)

MmeLindor. · 13/12/2011 21:24

YANBU
I do it all the time when we are in UK.

We are used to taking our dog everywhere with us, and I take bad when we visit my parents.

I have a large basket that the dog fits into.

Wandered around TK Maxx last time we were home and no one said a word.

When we were in Skye we went to Dunvegan Castle. Dogs are allowed in the grounds but not in the castle. I popped Daphne in my handbag and wandered in. All the old ladies (the "security guards") fawned over the pretty little doggy.
