AIBU to expect a response from my son's school after two weeks of asking for an appointment?

I have phoned 4 times asking for an appointment to see his head of year. Every time, I am told that they will email the message to him. Nothing.

I have emailed the man himself this evening to request said appointment, which I would like before the end of term, which in practice means tomorrow or Thursday. I know this is very short notice NOW, but it wasn't when I started asking for the appointment.

I could do, but I didn't know if that would look too stroppy. I might forward it to her if no response tomorrow though.

YANBU, had this at dd's school, they were apparently incapable of passing on a message or returning a phone call so it took us about a month to get an appointment. We were on the verge of camping in reception.

I COULD just rock up in reception after school finishes tomorrow - I finish early on a Wednesday and their school is a five minute walk from mine.

I think that's outrageous! We have a policy of answering messages/emails within 24hrs-I think not to do this is unreasonable.

I would be going to school tomorrow and demanding to see HoY or HT in this situation (and I am a HoY). No need to be rude, but do be insistent. You are not being unreasonable doing this, a HoY has a duty of care for their pupils and should act accordingly.

YANBU-I think I would just rock up after school and say you want to speak to hoy as you'd like this addressed before the Christmas break. They've had plenty of time to get back to you with a convenient time, and haven't, so I think you have every right to just turn up.

Oooh, our sons must be at the same school?

I have emailed Reception; the Head of Year; and the form tutor, over the past two weeks. I have also left a phone message for Head of Year. Not a single reply.

Maybe they're all pissed or comatose or, ooooh, here's a thought, indifferent.

I'm sorry to see it's not just me, LineRunner. In my more childish moments, I have thoughts of sneaking up to the school under the cover of darkness and spraypainting "My Arse" underneath the mahoosive "OUTSTANDING" they have on a banner on the wall.....
