Sorry

Bartimaeus · 13/12/2011 12:36

I've got it too. Well, I did try to do stuff initially but DS (2.5 months) is being funny and very clingy today so I can't get anything done. Plus it's pouring with rain (what else would it be pouring with?!) so I cba with going out.

Bartimaeus you've got it all wrong. You have a baby under 6 months, therefore you have The Official Watertight Excuse for inertia. Do not waste it for the love of God!!!! My DS is nearly a year and no longer qualifies. I am therefore trying for a new excuse baby.

whenPaschagotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2011 12:39

Fuck off AngrySmile

Bartimaeus you are officially allowed to do bugger all. Except laugh at me and my catshitty house.

NoWayNoHow · 13/12/2011 12:40

I'm am knee deep in inertia with you. Yet another "you are an excellent candidate, but I'm afraid there was some who just pipped you to the job" email this morning has sapped me of all desire to do anything whatsoever.

I wonder if DH will notice if I stop looking for work completely, nail my arse to the sofa, glue the laptop to my lap, and set up a bar fridge with remote control holders next to me.

DS will probably wonder where I am come collecting time though!

witherhills · 13/12/2011 12:42

Me too, cannot be arsed. Wandered round tesco this morning in a daze. Got period too
And it's a wonderful life is about to start
I'm not moving from the couch!

MudAndGlitter · 13/12/2011 12:44

I'm hoping the DCs go to sleep so I don't have to be all parenty and make Xmas biscuits. I can't be bothered after the salt dough decoration fiasco yesterday.
Reminds me I also need to de-glitter the bath

MrsSnaplegs · 13/12/2011 13:00

Are we allowed to join this blob of inertia if we are at work but inert Grin?

I have so much to do before the end of the week but oh look I am on MN instead Wink

I have shut my office door so no-one knows what I am not doing and I have put a sign on saying i am keeping the door shut because it is cold - wow just outed myself there -oh well!

GoingForGoalWeight · 13/12/2011 13:08

I went to Sainsbury's this morning with tomato ketchup on my top. I could not be arsed to wipe it off. First time for me..felt good

itsstartingtofeelalotlikexmas · 13/12/2011 13:57

I want magic fairies to do the school run for me

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/12/2011 14:01

yanbu

i cant be arsed either due to a broken one (arse that is)

i have stuff to do.

i should be revising/learning a book for a test in January.
i should be wrapping xmas presents
i should be doing this bit of ironing that is making my room look untidy
i should be hoovering/washing floors
i was going to clean the oven but i need it now, so will make that a job to do aswell...

im going to watch ER instead. and lift my red wine out of the fridge.

Bartimaeus · 13/12/2011 14:21

Pash I'm laughing because I used to have a cat that threw up everywhere. all the time Hmm so I know the heart-sinking feeling Wink

Unfortunately my baby excuse does not make my to-do list any shorter Sad Why the hell are we planning on moving flats with a baby???!!!!

Bartimaeus · 13/12/2011 14:22

I meant to say "heart-sinking feeling when you hear said cat making gagging noises...or in your case, squitting noises!"

TheTinselsTheWrongColour · 13/12/2011 14:42

you see I got up to do some baking for packed lunches for dc for rest of the week and have made an even worse mess, there is now chocolate goo all over the kitchen, spattered butter on the hob, recycling everywhere, neighbours cat has crapped all over garden again and the tap is making whirring noises,I look like a tramp and have to do school run soon and am supposed to be off to a christmas party later

I sould have just stayed on mn and done nada

I officially give up today :(

CarolCervix · 13/12/2011 15:21

vicar - why is your red wine in the fridge? Shock

i went for a nap but couldn't even be arsed to go to sleep.

have to take dd to the optitians shortly. bugger.

Hardgoing · 13/12/2011 15:24

I am having this problem today, I said to a colleague 'I think I'm winding down before Christmas' and she snapped 'I wish I had that luxury' (good atmosphere at my work).

I just can't be bothered. I may do some MNnetting tidying.

CarolCervix · 13/12/2011 15:54

don't want to go out.

it is dark and sleeting/hailing/snowing/raining out there.

OP posts:
GoingForGoalWeight · 13/12/2011 16:08

Please no snow here in Birmingham ...nooooo

to the whinge thread i go Sad

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/12/2011 17:47

Carol - wine was put in the fridge last night as opened but not fully consumed...so i put it in the fridge overnight, then lift it out in plenty of time for it to warm up again...

tonight, i wont have that problem. it doesn't last 3 days...

Wine bottoms up to all you procrastinators.

i think my oven is broken so im gonna have to clean that tomorrow....
and my fridge has buggered up too so will have to clean that before friday.

all my electrical appliances seem to give up the ghost around xmas...

GoingForGoalWeight · 15/12/2011 13:22

How you all getting on?

I'm finally going to clean this house today :)

I had two days off -

RainboweBrite · 15/12/2011 14:06

Me too. I've gone back to bed the last 3 mornings, instead of getting on with stuff. Although I did make some lists of what I need to do for next week during today's laze.

ThatVikRinA22 · 15/12/2011 14:08

i have finally found a bit of oomph...its hurts more to sit down so;

today i cleaned and washed my fridge (in readiness for the engineer tomorrow)
cleaned and washed my oven (in readiness for the fan conking out)
hoovered and washed all floors
did the bathroom in a sort of slap dash half arsed way

gives me an excuse to sit tonight and do nothing.

GoingForGoalWeight · 15/12/2011 16:33

Blooming heck Vicar you are putting me to shame. My arse is mahiosive but not broken, tis why i can't get off it :

ThatVikRinA22 · 15/12/2011 19:35

i had to do the fridge - engineer coming as it sounds like a small aircraft coming in to land...just hope he doesnt open the freezer Blush

in truth it hurts more to sit.

i should now be wrapping presents, and writing cards.
