The company I work for is very successful even (or should I say specially) in these hard times. Every Christmas they throw a party for the children of employees. This party has never been free, tickets cost £10 per adult, £8 per child. In other years, everyone has felt 'lavishly' looked after with plenty of food and drink going around, entertainment for the little ones and a half decent gift from 'Santa'. The standards have been dropping gradually as the price of the tickets has been increasing. Fast forward to this year's Christmas party. It was so cheap, lack luster and awful I feel like complaining even though it was an internally organised event. Adults paid £10 per ticket and got nothing. Children paid £7 per ticket but the children's entertainment was lame and my kids were bored. There were no decorations. Santa looked like some random bloke with a badly positioned beard and the gift was worth no more than £1.99. The whole affair felt like a right rip off. What would you do?
