to want these beside tables

DH and I are embarking on a loft conversion next year. We have slept in quite a horrible dark bedroom for 5 years now so we are v excited about moving up to a bigger brighter space.
I have started shopping around for bits and pieces and saw 2 lovely bedside tables in our local antique/vintage furniture store last Saturday. I have put them on hold.
DH does not want them because they don't have drawers. They are just small square tables on 4 legs. They are vvvvv beautiful (dark wooden legs with cream leather tops covered by glass to protect the leather). I think drawers = clutter. He thinks drawers = convenience.

What do you reckon ladies, should I get them or not?

Update: went to shop with DH who took one look at them and said no. He didn't like the glass tops because they looked too fragile and he needs a drawer.
So I didn't get them.
The rest of our flat is quite small but if I had lots of space I would definitely have got them for either side of a sofa or summat.
*sigh
Back to the drawing board on bedside tables (with drawers) then.

Would something like this be an acceptable substitute?
Give us your spec/budget and I for one am happy to look for suggeations. I'm looking for loads of furniture online myself atm, so might come across something else.

Thank you WWWY that is so kind. But I think I will be sensible and wait until we are closer to construction time and have chosen a bed. Those ones are nice though I'll save the link!
